One group.
A ship shaped around it.

A private charter brings people together for a reason. The hospitality has to understand that reason and give the group the freedom to make the ship its own.

01 / The guest promise

A different purpose for every departure.

A Transcend charter centres on one group and why they are travelling together. The programme, the pacing and the hospitality all follow from that.

Spaces and service have to adapt through the day, sometimes several times. That kind of flexibility has to be designed in from the start.

I joined in Transcend’s launch year to help build the hotel operation, starting with what the service should feel like and what the crew would need to deliver it.

Working with the designer, the shipyard and the suppliers, I connected equipment and layout decisions to daily service: where the pantries sit, how plates and supplies move, how a lounge becomes a dining room and back again.

03 / The work in practice

Making flexibility possible.

Where the concept met
the daily operation.

01

The service concept

Defining how the hotel operation would support a private group: service style, meal periods and crew structure.

02

Equipment for the work

Choosing galley, pantry, bar and housekeeping equipment for the menus and service the team would actually deliver.

03

A workable layout

Working through the movement of people, plates and supplies with the partners designing and building the ship.

A group taking part in a culinary activity
Food and drink bring a group together. The operation has to keep up with the programme, not the other way round.

Time together is the whole point of the charter. Good preparation is what makes room for it.

What I bring to your operation

The guest experience starts in the early decisions.

I bring a hotel operator’s perspective to new concepts and openings, connecting the ambition to equipment, layout and service. When the operation has a voice early, the finished spaces work for the people who use them.
